In Memoriam: Jerry Montoya

/
Jerry Montoya

It is with great sadness that the Center for Health Innovation mourns the passing of our friend and colleague Jerry Montoya. Jerry was a loved and highly respected Health Promotion Manager for the Northwest Region at the NM Department of Health and served on CHI’s Leadership Team, which advises us on public health issues.  Jerry was full of compassion for people and communities and was passionate about public health. He was an awesome mentor, visionary and leader. We will miss him deeply.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sept. 18, 2020, 3:00 – 4:30 pm. The Zoom webinar link will be posted soon at www.nmpha.org. To share or see memories and photos, go to Lifeweb. Also, NMPHA is setting up an undergraduate scholarship fund to honor Jerry’s memory. A Memorial Service for Jerry Montoya will be held Friday, Sept. 18, 3:00 – 4:30pm. Go to nmpha.org for the link to the Zoom Webinar and join us for a tribute to our public health hero’s life.
